To niche or not to niche?
Many creators tell you to stick to 1 topic as the “only way” to grow a successful personal-brand and make money.
But what if you are a multi-passionate person?
What if you have so many goddamn curiosities, interests, & talents that make it impossible for you to stick w/ 1 thing?
Will niching down be the right thing for you?
Well you can answer that question for yourself…
Probably NOT.
If you force yourself to narrow into 1 thing while having many passions that you want to explore...
That is the road towards inevitable:
... for you.
Yes some people can get fulfillment from sticking to 1 thing - and succeed in their brand and business.
But if you’re a multi-dimensional person, you’re practically forcing yourself to fit in a shirt that you can’t even fit in to begin with.
It simply isn't sustainable.
And it’s understandable you wanna do it.
Because it feels like you HAVE to niche down to grow a big-audience and attract customers to your offers…
Due to the most creators you see on your timeline, getting more “results” than you.
But you know you can’t force yourself to niche because it goes against your own polymathic nature.
So what’s a better alternative, a non one-size-fits-all approach that still allows you to grow your brand & business, while not needing to “niche down?”
That’s what we’ll be deeply exploring today!
And warning: this is a long-ass, master-class on “not niching” so be prepared, this is nuanced.
Or maybe it was on accident.
Anyways let’s lean into this >:)
“Do I really have to “choose a niche?” Since you’re energized about the idea of not just growing an authentic brand, but a business…
It is important to position yourself in a market, based on what you’re specifically offering (mainly) to your audience.
And yes, traditionally that is called niching yourself.
But since it doesn’t align with you, you can actually ignore it altogether.
Because you can think of niching down as just a byproduct of pursuing a passion that excites you the most right now.
That is what I call your main-passion as a creator.
Through finding the skill you’re most curious about exploring & monetizing, you’ll discover and create your aligned-niche - automatically.
You can skip the BS of “finding” or “choosing” a niche.
Just lean into the passion you mainly love.
And that will pave your unique path towards growing an aligned brand & business.
"Then what about my content?" No you DON’T have to niche down your content.
If you create content mostly aligned with your main-passion , then you can talk about whatever the fuck you want that’s aligned with your other:
curiosities interests talents Like philosophy? Like dancing? Like art?
You don’t have to constrain to creating normie “self-help” advice - you can go ABSOLUTE HAM on making content on those ideas, perspectives, and beliefs around those topics.
You’ll stupidly stand out from the most creators that talk strictly about their niched topic - and you’ll have tons of fun.
That is the power of multiple-passions.
This is the unfair-advantage that nobody has but you.
This is your own niche.
This is your own You-niqueness.
"And what about my offer?" Yes the most appropriate thing to “niche” is your offer because they should be placed in a specific market or category that promises an outcome.
But again, you don’t have to waste your time “finding a niche” for your – because if you can discover:
a burning-problem you feel EXCITED about solving a desire that you WANT to fulfill for people That’s in accordance to your main-passion … that’s how you unravel your own aligned-niche and your own offer.
And to empower you more, even if your offer is under a topic, you can still attach your multi-passions into the solution that you’re presenting through the offer.
This is what makes it more captivating (and more YOU) than many offers you see out there that are hyper-focused on one niche.
If most offers promise the same results, the way to achieve it should be different, and that’s where you come in.
That is your You-niqueness.
Honestly it doesn’t even matter At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter lol.
As long as you’re in total alignment to what excites and what fulfills you the most, your positioning, your offerings, your niche are all a byproduct.
And if you have multi-passions, nobody will hate you for them… they will actually love you more for them.
But if they do, they weren’t even meant for you to begin with.
That is The Way of You-niqueness.
